1. To express a negative emotion in a forceful way or to express in an angry manner.

Examples
1. My grandfather vented his anger on me.
2. I am very upset. I just need to vent my frustration.
3. He gave vent to his feelings in front of his parents.
(i.e. To give vent to something = To express anger)
